Catherine, Princess of Wales Resumes Royal Duties After Completing Chemotherapy

London, Sep 18 (Alliance News): Catherine, Princess of Wales, has marked her first public engagement since revealing the completion of her chemotherapy treatment.

On Tuesday, Kate, 42, who is married to Prince William, hosted a meeting at Windsor Castle, focusing on early childhood development.

The Court Circular, which records royal engagements, noted that Kate led an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle as part of her role with the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales.

This event follows her recent health update, where she shared her ongoing commitment to staying cancer-free and entering a new phase of recovery.

In a personal video message, Kate reflected on the challenges of the past nine months but expressed optimism about resuming work and participating in more public engagements.

She emphasized her dedication to early childhood development, a cause she has championed through initiatives like the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood and the “Shaping Us” campaign.

Kate, who has been undergoing chemotherapy since February for an unspecified form of cancer, has made limited public appearances recently.

Her return includes attending significant events such as Trooping the Colour in June and the Wimbledon men’s singles final in July.

She has continued working from home during her treatment and is expected to resume a light schedule of engagements while focusing on her recovery.

The Princess is also anticipated to attend the annual Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph in London this November.
