China Urges US to Rethink Trade Policies, Calls for Peace in Ukraine

BEIJING, March 7 (Alliance News): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has urged the United States to reassess its trade policies, emphasizing that cooperation between the two nations can bring mutual benefits, while pressure from Washington will lead to firm countermeasures from Beijing.

Speaking at a press conference during the third session of the 14th National People’s Congress, Wang said the US should evaluate the impact of its trade wars and tariffs, questioning whether they have improved or worsened inflation and the lives of American citizens.

On China-Russia relations, Wang stated that both nations maintain a stable and flexible partnership based on non-alignment and non-confrontation. He emphasized that their cooperation does not target any third party and will not be affected by external influences.

Regarding the Ukraine crisis, Wang reaffirmed China’s neutral stance, advocating for dialogue and a political solution. He stressed that security for one country should not come at the expense of another and called for a long-term framework of common and sustainable security.

Wang reiterated that China remains committed to global peace and stability through diplomacy and cooperation.
