BEIJING, March 8, 2025 (Alliance News): China’s customs department reported that the country’s total merchandise trade reached 6.54 trillion yuan in the first two months of this year, with exports hitting a record high of 3.88 trillion yuan, reflecting a 3.4% increase.
China’s foreign trade remained stable, with exports to major partners showing steady growth. Exports to ASEAN rose by 6.8%, the European Union by 1.8%, the United States by 3.4%, and Japan by 2%. The Belt and Road Initiative also played a significant role in driving trade expansion.
Officials highlighted that China’s trade resilience continues to strengthen, reinforcing its position as a key player in global commerce.
