DUBAI, Oct 24 (Alliance News): Dubai’s aviation sector is set for a major expansion, with 185,000 new jobs to be created by 2030, bringing the total workforce in aviation-related roles to an impressive 816,000, according to a recent Emirates Group and Dubai Airports report.
The surge in hiring follows the post-COVID rebound in the sector, with recruitment of pilots, cabin crew, and ground staff hitting record numbers since late 2021.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman of Dubai Airports, highlighted the focus on skilled job creation and travel innovation, stating, “Our growth plans will drive more skilled jobs and innovative solutions with our tech partners to enhance efficiency and security in travel.”
The Emirates-Dubai Airports report coincides with a new passenger terminal project at Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), worth Dh128 billion, expected to boost Dubai’s GDP by Dh6.1 billion by 2030 and create 132,000 additional jobs.
