BEIJING, Dec 24 (Alliance News): China has strongly condemned the inclusion of negative content about China in the US “National Defense Authorization Act 2025,” accusing the United States of exaggerating the so-called “China threat” and politicizing issues like Taiwan, science, and economic development.
In a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning expressed concern that the US continues to undermine China’s sovereignty and security through its annual defense bills.
The US demands increased military support for Taiwan and uses state power to suppress China’s scientific and economic growth.
Mao urged the US to abandon its Cold War mentality and ideological bias, calling for adherence to the one-China principle and the three China-US joint declarations.
She called for an end to the arming of Taiwan and criticized Washington for politicizing scientific and technological development. “China will safeguard its sovereignty, security, and development interests,” she affirmed.
