65 Palestinians Martyred as Israeli Forces Intensify Attacks in Khan Yunis and Gaza Orphanages

Gaza, Oct 3 (Alliance News): Israeli airstrikes and ground operations in Khan Yunis and Gaza City late at night left 65 Palestinians dead, including victims from orphanages and schools housing displaced families, further escalating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

According to international media reports, Israeli forces launched extensive air and ground operations in southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis region, supported by advancing tanks.

These operations resulted in the deaths of at least 40 people, with dozens more injured. Medical experts also confirmed that 22 Palestinians were killed in airstrikes in Gaza City.

One of the deadliest strikes targeted a school sheltering displaced families, killing 17 people, while another strike hit the Al Amal Orphan Society, which houses homeless individuals, claiming five more lives.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that Israeli attacks have continued for almost a year, with the death toll now standing at 41,689 since the start of the aggression.

Meanwhile, in a joint press conference, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Iranian President Masoud Pizshakyan expressed their commitment to mediation efforts aimed at ending the war in Gaza.

In parallel, Israel confirmed the death of eight soldiers in clashes with the Iranian-backed Hezbollah during ground operations in southern Lebanon.
