North Korea Allegedly Sending Troops to Aid Russia’s War Effort, Says Zelensky

KYIV, Oct 16 (Alliance News): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has alleged that North Korea is sending personnel to assist Russia’s military in its invasion of Ukraine, marking a deepening alliance between Moscow and Pyongyang.

In his daily address, Zelensky claimed that North Korean citizens are now involved in more than just weapons transfers, helping Russia’s occupying forces.

This comes amid reports of North Korean military personnel working with Russian troops in Ukraine, primarily offering engineering expertise and exchanging ammunition usage information, according to Ukrainian intelligence. Several North Koreans were allegedly killed in eastern Ukraine, the source said.

The Kremlin has dismissed these claims as a “hoax,” while South Korea’s intelligence service believes the allegations could be accurate, citing high chances of further North Korean deployment.

Both Russia and North Korea have denied previous accusations of arms transfers, despite evidence to the contrary.
