USA, Sep 30 (Alliance News): Former President Donald Trump, during a rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday, urged for a “violent” police response to crime, while Vice President Kamala Harris focused on the need for immigration reform at a separate rally in Nevada.
Trump, 78, reiterated his alarming, racially charged narrative of an America besieged by an “invasion” of migrants and criminals.
He cited isolated incidents of brazen robberies in major cities, drawing cheers from the crowd when he stated that police should be “extraordinarily rough” due to limitations imposed by the “liberal left.”
He added that criminals “have to be taught” a lesson, suggesting this could occur through “one really violent day.”
In contrast, Harris, 59, addressed border security issues during her rally in Las Vegas, emphasizing economic concerns, healthcare, and the necessity for immigration reform.
She pledged to double resources for the Department of Justice to combat transnational cartels and criticized Trump, asserting, “We know Donald Trump won’t solve them. When he was president, he did nothing to fix our immigration system.”
In Wisconsin, Trump painted a grim picture of the U.S., claiming that a “massive number of savage criminal aliens” were allowed into the country due to Harris’s policies.
He claimed that “terrorists are pouring into our country,” referencing a “big prison in the Congo” as a source of recent arrivals.
Trump further criticized the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies, calling for Harris’s impeachment and suggesting she should resign, claiming, “She should be disqualified. She should be impeached and prosecuted for her actions.”
Despite Trump’s rhetoric, statistics indicate that illegal border crossings have significantly declined this year following tightened rules, and overall crime rates, including murder, are in steep decline nationwide, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Known for his derogatory nicknames, Trump repeated insults directed at Harris, referring to her as “mentally impaired.”
He quipped, “Crooked Joe Biden became mentally impaired. Sad. But lying Kamala Harris, honestly, I believe she was born that way,” eliciting laughter from the crowd.
