China, Dec 2 (Alliance News): The fifth China-Central Asia Foreign Ministers’ Meeting took place in Chengdu, where Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi highlighted how the event strengthened mutual trust and expanded cooperation among China and the five Central Asian nations.
Wang noted that the meeting reinforced the commitment to follow the guidance of national leaders and improve the China-Central Asia partnership.
Discussions included plans for joint projects in satellite navigation, poverty reduction, and education, aiming for regional modernization.
The meeting also focused on maintaining regional peace and supporting China’s Global Security Initiative, as well as promoting Afghanistan’s recovery.
The participating countries agreed to foster people-to-people exchanges, with China planning to offer 1,500 training spots and 600 more scholarships over the next three years.
Lastly, they committed to upholding multilateralism and promoting unity within the global South.
