China Condemns US Arms Sale to Taiwan: A Violation of One-China Principle

Beijing, Sep 18 (Alliance News): Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian has strongly condemned the United States for its recent arms sale to Taiwan, asserting that it violates the one-China principle and the three joint communiqués between China and the US.
The spokesperson highlighted that such actions threaten China’s sovereignty, security, and the stability of the Taiwan Strait, and are harmful to China-US relations.

Lin Jian criticized the US for supporting “Taiwanese separatist” forces and announced sanctions on nine US military institutions in response.

He emphasized that the Taiwan issue is a core interest for China and a fundamental red line in China-US relations, which must not be crossed.

The spokesperson reaffirmed China’s commitment to opposing “Taiwan secession” and defending its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
