China-Japan Foreign Ministers Hold Fruitful Talks in Beijing

BEIJING, Dec 26 (Alliance News): The foreign ministers of China and Japan engaged in constructive discussions during a recent meeting in Beijing, described as friendly, positive, and productive, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning.

At the second session of the China-Japan High-Level Consultation Mechanism on People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral ties through multilevel cooperation and open communication.

The ministers agreed to address differences amicably, bolster mutual trust, and keep China-Japan relations on a stable trajectory.

A 10-point consensus was reached to advance collaboration in areas such as youth exchanges, education, tourism, twin cities, sports, entertainment, media, think tanks, and women’s initiatives.

Mao Ning expressed hope that this dialogue would pave the way for deeper bilateral exchanges and stronger ties between the nations.
