BEIJING, Dec 5 (Alliance News): President Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission, conducted an inspection of China’s information support force on Thursday.
During the visit, Xi called for the development of a robust and modern information support force, urging accelerated growth in the military’s network information system.
Xi noted that the world is currently experiencing a new era marked by rapid scientific and technological revolutions, alongside a military revolution that is reshaping the global landscape.
He emphasized that the evolution of military structures is accelerating, with the network information systems playing an increasingly prominent role on modern battlefields.
“The information support unit is first and foremost a combat force,” he said, stressing the importance of recognizing its role in strengthening national defense and ensuring military success.
He underscored the urgent need for comprehensive development in this sector, emphasizing strict discipline, anti-corruption measures, and a focus on building the capacity required for wartime success.
Xi’s directives were clear: accelerate the construction of network information systems and enhance their capabilities to support the armed forces in achieving military objectives.
