BEIJING, Oct 16 (Alliance News): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the need for dialogue and consultation to resolve the escalating conflict in Gaza, warning against intensifying regional tensions.
In a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, Wang Yi reiterated China’s opposition to military adventurism and its commitment to promoting regional peace.
According to Chinese media reports on Tuesday, the two ministers discussed China-Iran relations and agreed to maintain high-level exchanges while promoting practical cooperation.
Wang Yi urged all parties involved to adopt measures conducive to stability, underscoring China’s role in building international consensus and de-escalating conflicts.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Araqchi expressed deep concern over the growing regional instability and highlighted Iran’s desire to prevent the conflict from spreading further.
He praised China’s significant influence in international affairs and reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to cooperate diplomatically with China to defuse the situation.
Araqchi also called on Israel to exercise caution and avoid escalating tensions.
