Beirut, Oct 2 (Alliance News): Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah successfully thwarted an Israeli army attempt to enter Lebanon, killing two Israeli soldiers and injuring 18 in a border clash, according to Arab media reports.
On Wednesday, the Israeli army attempted to cross into Lebanon from the Odesa region, sparking a confrontation with Hezbollah’s elite Rizwan force, known for its specialized infantry operations.
According to Al Jazeera, Hezbollah fighters engaged the Israeli soldiers, preventing their land incursion and causing significant casualties.
Lebanese news agency Al-Mayadeen reported that two Israeli soldiers were killed and 18 others were injured during the skirmish.
The injured soldiers were swiftly evacuated by helicopters to Israeli hospitals for medical treatment.
This incident marks an escalation in the ongoing tension between Israel and Hezbollah, as both sides continue to face off along the volatile Lebanese-Israeli border.
