TEHRAN, March 12 (Alliance News): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian dismissed any negotiations with the United States under pressure, telling President Donald Trump to “do whatever damn thing” he wants.
Pezeshkian made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian producers and entrepreneurs, rejecting talks based on threats or orders.
The statement came after Trump urged Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to agree to a new nuclear deal or face potential military action.
Pezeshkian, a reformist, has supported reviving the 2015 nuclear agreement, which collapsed after Trump withdrew from it in 2018. However, Khamenei has ruled out direct negotiations with Washington, calling it “unwise.”
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also reinforced Iran’s stance, stating that talks would not happen under U.S. pressure.
Pezeshkian stressed Iran’s willingness for global engagement but ruled out submission, saying, “We need relationships with the world, but we will not bow in humiliation to anyone.”
