New York, Oct 3 (Alliance News): Israel’s delegate to the United Nations issued a stark warning to Iran over its recent missile attacks, vowing severe consequences, while Iran defended its actions as a response to ongoing provocations, pushing tensions between the two nations to new heights.
At an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, the Israeli delegate declared that Iran would face unimaginable consequences for its missile attacks on Israel.
“Iran will have to pay a heavy price,” the delegate said, calling Iran the enemy of “all civilized nations and its own people.” He urged the Security Council to impose strict sanctions on Tehran.
In response, the Iranian delegate accused Israel of driving the region toward disaster. He insisted that Iran’s missile strikes were a necessary act of deterrence, following what he described as months of Israeli provocations.
He called for Israel to cease hostilities in Gaza and Lebanon as the only way to prevent further escalation.
The crisis intensified after Iran launched over 400 ballistic missiles at Israel from several locations, triggering air raid sirens across the country, including in Jerusalem.
