Gaza, Oct 29 (Alliance News): The Israeli military launched intense airstrikes on the city of Beit Elahiya early Tuesday morning, resulting in numerous Palestinian casualties.
Arab media reports confirm that at least 77 Palestinians have lost their lives in the assault, with the toll expected to rise as rescue teams continue to work through the rubble.
The strike targeted residential buildings, leaving many civilians, including women and 17 children, dead. Rescue authorities are racing against time to retrieve survivors, as numerous individuals remain trapped beneath the debris.
According to reports, over 100 people were inside the targeted building—some were local residents, while others had sought shelter there after being forcibly displaced from the Jabalia camp the previous day.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces have continued their operations in Lebanon, with overnight bombardments reported in the Beqa Valley.
