Kim Jong-un Vows to Strengthen Strategic Partnership with Russia in New Year Message

PYONGYANG, Jan 2 (Alliance News): North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has pledged to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between North Korea and Russia in a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In his New Year message, Kim Jong-un extended greetings to Putin and all Russian citizens, including soldiers, while reinforcing his commitment to advancing bilateral relations.

According to North Korea’s state media outlet, CNA, Kim expressed his hope that 2025 would be a turning point, marking it as the “first year of victory in the 21st century.” He envisioned a world where Russia and its people defeat neo-Nazism and emerge victorious in their struggles.

The statement follows the historic summit in June where Kim and Putin signed a mutual defense treaty, solidifying their long-term alliance.
