Russia Allegedly Uses Intercontinental Missile in Attack on Ukraine

MOSCOW, Nov 22 (Alliance News): In an unprecedented development, Ukraine has accused Russia of using an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in a missile strike on Ukrainian territory.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed in a video address that Russia deployed a new missile with all indications pointing to its being an ICBM.

The alleged use of the missile follows Ukraine’s recent strikes on Russian territory using American and British missiles.

However, Russian authorities have not yet confirmed the use of intercontinental missiles in their latest offensive.

According to Ukrainian military officials, the attack also involved a Kinzhal hypersonic missile and seven Kh-101 cruise missiles, six of which were intercepted midair.

Reports in Ukrainian media suggest the missile in question could be an RS-26, capable of carrying nuclear or heavier conventional warheads over a range of up to 5,800 kilometers.

Foreign experts note that if confirmed, this would mark the first use of an intercontinental missile in active warfare.
