Saudi, US Leaders Discuss Regional Tensions Amid Escalating Lebanon Crisis

Jeddah, Oct 06 (Alliance News): Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to discuss the escalating tensions in the region, according to Saudi media reports.

The leaders also addressed the ongoing developments in Lebanon. Earlier, Prince Faisal met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Novel Barot in Riyadh.

The Higher Defense Council reports that in the last 24 hours, 37 people have died and 151 have been injured in Lebanon. Since the onset of the clashes, the death toll has reached 2,111, with 9,535 injured.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has called for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon. He also met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to discuss the regional crisis.
