Trump Plans Major Shakeup at Pentagon with Top Military Dismissals

Washington, Nov 14 (Alliance News):Following Donald Trump’s presidential election win, reports indicate a significant restructuring is planned for the Pentagon.

Sources suggest that with Trump’s assumption of office on January 20, 2025, many top military leaders, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, could be dismissed.

Key figures overseeing the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and National Guard may face furloughs or firings.

Two independent sources confirmed a list is being prepared for dismissals, reportedly including officials aligned with General Mark Milley, Trump’s former Joint Chiefs chairman, who has been critical of Trump.

Allegedly, anyone appointed under Milley could be affected. Trump, during his campaign, had previously criticized military leaders who opposed his approach, particularly around the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal.

Earlier reports suggest that Trump has chosen Pat Hegseth, a Fox News commentator and Pentagon veteran, as his defense secretary. The potential changes signal a major shakeup in the military leadership structure.
