Washington, Nov 20 (Alliance News): The US State Department spokesperson, Matthew Miller, expressed strong support for Pakistan in its fight against terrorism, recognizing the significant losses the country has endured due to terrorist attacks.
During a press briefing, Miller condemned the ongoing wave of terrorist incidents in Pakistan, acknowledging the country’s struggle with brutal attacks targeting its citizens.
“Terrorists have no country and no religion,” Miller stated, adding that the US stands in solidarity with the Pakistani people.
He expressed heartfelt condolences to the families and victims of those who lost their lives in the attacks.
Miller commended Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism, calling them “commendable,” and reiterated that the US remains committed to dialogue and partnership with Pakistan to combat the threat posed by terrorist groups.
The US State Department emphasized its ongoing counter-terrorism partnership with Pakistan, including high-level consultations and efforts to enhance military and civilian capabilities to detect and counter such threats.
Miller also confirmed that the US government is taking the issue of threats to Sikh citizens seriously.
