BEIJING, Oct 06 (Alliance News): General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and President Xi Jinping held a meeting with General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of North Korea and Chairman of the State Council Kim Jong-un to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and North Korea.
During this meeting, both leaders exchanged congratulatory messages, reflecting on the enduring friendship between their nations.
On Sunday, Xi Jinping emphasized that the traditional friendship between China and North Korea has weathered the tests of time and shifting international conditions, becoming a valuable asset for both countries and their peoples.
He underscored the importance of enhancing China-North Korea relations and noted his recent meetings with Kim Jong-un, highlighting a commitment to strengthening strategic communication and coordination.
XI expressed readiness to deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation, aiming to bring greater benefits to both nations.
In response, Kim Jong-un acknowledged the longstanding and noble traditions of the North Korea-China friendship, asserting that its legacy and future development align with the core interests of both nations.
He reaffirmed the North Korean Party and Government’s commitment to enhancing and promoting cooperative relations with China, in line with the requirements of the New Deal.
