BEIRUT, Oct 6(Alliance News): The Lebanese capital, Beirut, was rocked by explosions as Israeli airstrikes intensified, targeting various locations within the city.
Reports indicate that the Israeli Air Force dropped multiple powerful bombs in the Dahiya area, resulting in widespread fires and the collapse of several buildings.
International media sources have reported that the Israeli military claimed to have struck Hezbollah’s weapons depots during these attacks. Notably, an office of a Lebanese TV channel was also hit.
Among the most concerning incidents, Israeli forces bombed a United Nations office in Beirut, leading to numerous casualties and widespread condemnation of the attacks.
In response, Hezbollah retaliated by launching more than 30 rockets towards the Israeli town of Kiryat Shimonah, resulting in significant damage in various areas.
Further complicating the situation, Arab media has reported the martyrdom of Hashem Safiuddin, a potential leader of Hezbollah, due to the Israeli strikes in Lebanon.
