BERLIN, Oct 16 (Alliance News): U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to reschedule a critical meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Berlin this week, according to Western officials.
The leaders are expected to discuss ongoing military support for Ukraine, as the conflict with Russia approaches its fourth year.
Originally planned to include Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the meeting was postponed due to Hurricane Milton. Zelensky still proceeded with a visit to Germany, securing an additional $1.5 billion in aid from Scholz.
Since February 2022, the U.S., Germany, U.K., and France have provided roughly $90 billion in military support to Ukraine. As Zelensky continues to seek global backing amid growing concerns over the sustainability of Western aid, Biden’s meeting could prove pivotal in shaping future support for Ukraine.
