China Imposes Visa Restrictions on US Officials Over Hong Kong Dispute

Beijing, Dec 10 (Alliance News): Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced visa restrictions on US officials involved in Hong Kong-related matters during a daily press conference.

She criticized the US for imposing visa restrictions on Chinese officials, calling it a severe interference in China’s internal affairs and a violation of international law principles.

Citing the Foreign Relations Law and the Law on Countering Foreign Sanctions, Mao Ning emphasized that the decision is a response to the US actions.

She reiterated that Hong Kong is an integral part of China and that its affairs are solely China’s internal matter.
